My Journey of Weight Loss
In 2007, I lost 50 pounds on Weight Watchers. It was amazing and took me about 6 months. I wasn't hungry and I was even starting to enjoy exercise. In March of 2008, I was still doing Weight Watchers when I became ill with a terrible flu...and that is where my diet ended.
Here we are in July 2009, I have gained 24 pounds since stopping my Weight Watchers journey and I'm back, though struggling with motivation. I'm working on journaling my food intake...it's pretty eradicated on how often I actually succeed. I do ride my bike, though pulling 95 pounds of kiddos in the bike trailer makes for a very short, hard ride..yup! Sucks the fun right out of it.
Well, today, while surfing the web looking for anything to inspire me in my weight loss adventure, I ran across a site that has some really great articles centered around weight loss and an overall healthier person as a whole. It's called Diet-to-Go. While visiting the site, I ran across an article entitled 5 Keys to Fat Loss Success.
While most of the article was common sense, it really explained things in layman's terms to the where it gave me pause to think. The article was written by Wendy Chant, MPT, SPN, who is "a certified personal trainer and a specialist in performance nutrition. She holds a bachelor of science degree in medical sciences and nutrition science. A champion bodybuilder, she opened her own training center, ForeverFit®, in 1998. Her latest book, Conquer the Fat Loss Code, is available now from McGraw-Hill."
I really liked the article's reality. It even says under Key 3: "Stick to it."...yeah, that's my biggest problem. It's about setting short-term goals....which should lead to long-term goals. It's about breaking your comfort zone and really challenging yourself.
It was a great find...
so, I read more...
There's an article on reducing stress, rosacea, the 5 Biggest Workout Mistakes, and more.
If you're looking for some solid reading material and have a few minutes, I'm encouraging you to check out Diet-to-Go...you might just be inspired.
