Creating a World that Teaches Creativity

It has been said that the mind of a child was born as a sponge, and just like the sponge, it absorbs everything it encounters. If that is true, one of the best things you can do is spend time teaching your child to be creative. Here are four ways you can create a world for your child that teaches imagination.

Creating a world that teaches creativity can help your child’s mind grow and expand – while you are teaching him or her life lessons she will never forget.

Creating a World that Teaches Creativity

1. Science

Your kitchen can be an amazing science lab for your children. Whether it is how to build a worm out of gumdrops after watching one in the yard, to making a snowman out of marshmallows, and then singing a snowman song.

Also, you can explain simple mixtures such as gelatin and how it hardens, to more complex formulas such as why carbonated drinks explode when they are shaken. It is all science in the eyes of your child.

2. Culture

Children love attention. So, why not let your child develop their dramatic side by acting out in some story or fairytale of their choosing.

You can outfit him or her with a vest and a Star Wars custom lightsaber, and he or she can battle the world, trolls, or the monsters under the bed. In other words, as he or she learns to take on roles in an imaginative way, your child will also learn to expand the creativity he or she was born with.

3. Garden

A garden can be a lesson in patience, science, bugs, and nutrition, all at the same time. After planting the seed, teach your child about bugs, water, and seedlings.

As the plant grows, your child can learn what it takes to keep the plant healthy and green. After being patient for weeks, your child will finally find all the hard work results in a tasty treat.

4. Music

Most children love music and will instinctively try to pound out sounds on drums, pianos, or kitchen pots. You can play games with your child that can teach him or her how to count using the beats of music as he or she swings the Star Wars custom lightsaber.

Or use play games with the memorization of lyrics, or even show your child how to play an instrument. Let your child take his or her love of music as far as your little one wants to, and once they are in school, your child’s formal musical education can begin.

As a parent, you want what is best for your child. Creating a world that teaches creativity can help your child’s mind grow and expand – while you are teaching him or her life lessons that he or she will never forget.
