All About The Dinosaur Train with Nature Trackers & Murals Your Way!

Since we moved last March, we have been painting and trying to make the place "ours". Li'l Man has a room in the basement. It's been being put off because his favorite color is black and he wants his walls to be heavy in that color. Murals Your Way saved the day! If you haven't heard of Murals Your Way, they're a company that makes murals for any room in your home or business- in any size you need! They have designs already created, or you can use your own image or photo and have it transformed into a mural.

We were able to experience Murals Your Way first hand. Li'l Man LOVES Dinosaur Train. He watches it any chance he can. We let him choose his mural and after an hour of looking over the FIFTEEN different Dinosaur Train designs he settled on the "Looking for Adventure" mural. On the computer it looks like this:

Meanwhile, his room looked like this:

Li'l Man's Room (Before)
Dad was out of town, so it was in my hands to measure the wall Li'l Man wanted the mural on. They also offer proportional sized murals. About a week later, a tall, skinny box arrived. I left it by the door and Li'l Man knew exactly what was in it when he saw it.

We left the installation up to Dad. He's tall and wouldn't need a ladder. Turns out he needed a Happy Helper, so Mom stepped in. I loved the heavy material and Dad commented on how vibrant the colors were. We worked together steadily and before we knew it we had the first half of the mural up! Success!

The second half was a little more tricky. It overlapped and while it peeled up easily for reposition it was a tad tricky lining up the characters beaks and bills!

Finally, we brought Li'l Man to his room for the unveiling of his new wall:

It really brightens up his room! The colors are spectacular and Li'l Man spends hours in his room on some grand Dinosaur Train adventure, applying what he learns at school and from our museum experiences into his storyline.

It's space every child should experience.

Li'l Man thinks his room is the most awesome one in the house, and we might have to agree. It took about an hour to transform one wall and make it a magical mural that comes to life through his imagination!

Most of the time, Li'l Man Get's Outside and Gets into Nature. It's particularly easy with  PBS Kid’s EMMY NOMINATED Dinosaur Train. It's a show that encourages kiddos to explore and make their own discoveries and PBS is reinforcing the fun by launching the new Nature Trackers Club Episodes. Taking from the success of this series, The Nature Trackers introduces the Nature Trackers Club where parents can download monthly nature-related activities to complete with their children, and even WIN prizes along the way!

It's a great way to get kiddos outdoors. Simply visit the Nature Trackers Club online and download the Nature's Tracker Guide. Complete the challenges (they're all fun) and mail in your membership to receive a special token! Li'l Man loves the fun, his first task was TRACKING. He scoured our yard for animal footprints reporting back that there were cat and dog tracks. Now whenever we go for a walk he's ready to discover a new track and share them with us!

Each month highlights new activities. January was Weather Watchers, February was Terrarium's

There are new activities added every month for you to participate in. January was Weather Watchers and this month is Make a Terrarium. I'll let you discover March on your own.

Li'l Man loves the monthly challenges. This month is:

Make a Windsock Challenge! A windsock is a tool that we use to measure the direction of wind. By using simple craft materials you can create and decorate your own windsock to measure the wind outside your home. Check back monthly for new challenges. Or sign up for our e-newsletter (above) to receive the monthly challenges by email!

Make March the month you rediscover the inner child and makes big smiles happen.

Get active with The Nature's Tracker program and brighten any room with Murals Your Way--no paint, no mess, just total fun!
